Frequently Asked Questions

During your initial visit, the nutritionist will work with you on a comprehensive review of your intake forms, including a review of your medical history, nutrition history, and provided labs.

You will work together with the nutritionist to determine the underlying causes that are contributing to the symptoms and medical conditions that brought you to our office.

Initial visits last 60 minutes, and follow-up visits are 30-45 minutes.

Both!  Many people ask me what  a dietitian is. Registered Dietitians are trained nutrition professionals who provide nutritional care and advice based on each individual’s lifestyle. A CDCES promotes self-management to achieve individualized behavioral and treatment goals that reduce risks and optimize health outcomes for people with prediabetes and diabetes. I combine these two philosophies to tailor a plan for each client that will lead to a healthier lifestyle from the inside out.

The nutritionist can work with a variety of people!  Some people see her because they’d like to lose weight.  Others want to control their IBS-related symptoms such as bloating, gas and constipation.  Others may be experiencing symptoms such high blood sugar and can’t figure out what foods is causing it.

Nazirber works with each client individually to tailor a plan that will help them feel better and live a healthier life.

The nutritionist accepts insurance. Due to COVID-19 most insurance plans are covering virtual visits. All nutrition visits are conducted via telehealth (video) for the time being.

The nutritionist does not accept insurance, bill insurance, or prepare HCFA forms for weekly meal plans.

Payments can be made online via our website.

There is a 24-hour cancellation policy.  Any visits cancelled with less than 24 hours notice or no-shows will be charge $150 dollars.

At the present time, Nazirber is a preferred provider with Aetna, Cigna, MetroPlus, Medicare, HealthFirst,  United HealthCare, Oxford and Empire Blue Cross and Blue Shield.
